Desmond Sargeant

WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
An award winning Canadian filmmaker, Desmond’s work has screened locally and internationally. A graduate of the prestigious Media Arts program at Sheridan College, Desmond was the recipient of the “Red Green Award” for best student of the year, during his second year in college.

Focusing in a career as a screenwriter, Desmond has spent two years working as a script reader for Meridian Artists Talent Agency, a company created by well respected industry agent Glenn Cockburn.

The prize for best original screenplay at the Toronto International Teen Movie Festival, and the Calgary Independent Film Festival, are among the several writing awards he has received in his young career. As one of the joint partners of the independent production company “Gorilla Milkshake”, Desmond continues to write both feature and short scripts for future production.
